Jim Thompson who revived Thai silk industry was an American architect who came to Thailand at the end of the World War II. His Thai-style houses exhibit his collection of Asian artifacts such as blue-white China ware, Cambodian stone figures, Benjarong (a multi-colored porcelain made in China), and others.
