Though this old village is modernized with facilities, villagers prefer to dress traditionally. Every household has a loom. It is located on NamMae Klong. Elephants are still the main mode of transportation. Palata is the starting point of hiking and elephant riding to Ban KoTa and NamTok ThiLoSu, also a boat trip to NamTok ThiLoRe.
