Long-boat racing is a long-time tradition of Phichit. When a temple holds a merit festival, it also holds a boat racing. It is held during the rain season. Annually, it is held on the first Saturday-Sunday of September. Other competitions include boat decoration and beauty pageant. The event takes place at MaeNam Nan River.
