Songkran Festival, the most popular festival, is held in April to mark traditional New Year of Thailand. It mixes the religious ritual with fun play of water throwing. Festival is held throughout Thailand with highlight in Bangkok, Bang Sai Royal Handicraft Center in Ayuthaya, and Chiang Mai. This fun festival of Thailand starts on April 13 every year and lasts for 3 days. In Bangkok, the ritual starts in the morning at SanamLuang ground in front of the Grand Palace. However, most liveliest place for the festival is surprisingly in Khaosan Road, the road of tourists, where fun activities of water throwing are around in the afternoon.
