WAT SAKET & THE GOLDEN MOUNT

This temple was built in the reign of King Rama I (1782-1800 AD). This is the largest structure ever built in Bangkok. It was built in King Rama I reign to represent the mythical Mount Meru. Its gigantic structure houses the relics of Lord Buddha. On the mount-top where a golden chedi is located is the viewpoint affording visitors a panoramic view of Bangkok.
