NATIONAL MUSEUM
( 200m north of Grand Palace, Old City, Bangkok )
The place is the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. The main building itself is an 18th century well-desinged palace. The two buildings, Wang Na Palace and Buddhaisawan Chapel, are works of art in themselves. The Chapel houses Phra Buddha Sihing image and a wide selection of artifacts. The two wings of the museum present art and sculture. Historical, from Sukhothai and Ayuthaya era, and prehistorical items are also presented.
