This famous temple is also known as "the temple of 20 chedis." Whitewashed Burmese bell-shaped spires stand amidst rice fields. Square chedi-like towers make up the low surrounding walls. Niches in the walls are filled with Buddha images as well as unusual figures from Buddhist legends.
