WAT RAKHANG
( ThonBuri, Bangkok )
Built in the 19th century (Ayuthaya age), this temple possesses fine murals in its main wihan (chapel) painted between 1922-1923 depicting scenes of Bangkok. Also the eave supports, delicately carved bookcases and the gold and black doors of 'ho trai' (raised wooden library) are considered the masterpieces of ThonBuri period.
